The nature park

The Forêt d’Orient Regional Nature Park stretches from the edge of the Paris region to the south of Champagne.

Between water and forest, this park offers a palette of varied landscapes that inspired, among others, the painter Auguste Renoir. This land of large lakes and ponds, dominated by tall oak trees, will appeal to nature lovers and birdwatchers alike, as the park is home to thousands of birds. The Forêt d’Orient Regional Nature Park and the surrounding area offer many possibilities for hiking, as a couple or as a family, alone or with a guide, by bike, on foot, on horseback…

Lake Orient

The Lac du Temple, Lac d’Amance and Lac d’Orient are reservoirs located in the heart of the PNR de la forêt d’Orient, created between 1960 and 1990 to control the level of the Seine.

Today, they benefit from an exceptional environment!

A wide range of water sports and fishing activities are on offer, particularly at Lac d’Orient:

Pedalos, canoes and electric boats,

Fishing boats for the hunt for a thousand and one fish

At the Sailing Club: Catamaran – windsurfing – kayaks – bike and mountain bike hire

A cruise is also available on the lake

The Maison des lacs welcomes you and provides all the equipment you need for all kinds of activities around the lake.

A 2.5km course plunges you into the heart of a natural, green area…
